one thing that surprises me today is the fact that i came in early to work this morning. i usually punch in at 7:07 or later than that. waking up early is my least favorite and driving to work sucks. i am just glad that the day is finally over. it is always comforting to go home to a nice home-made supper after a hard day's work. my mom happens to cook some food that would pretty much feed her starving kids for the next few days. (thanks ma..)
i tend to eat a lot when i work a lot and i am not a great fan of exercising, so in a few years now, expect the extra weight i would be putting on.
after dinner, we got bored. mom and i decided to try out the new dance pad for dance revo (ps2). i taught her how to use the pad and the next thing i know, she is already hogging the entire game.
i got to try my new pens i ordered online. they're called popcorn pens by dong-a. i really love the puffy effect the ink makes after you use a hairdryer to dry it.
i got carried away that i did not realize that i was overusing the hairdryer. the next thing i know, i saw a spark and the hairdryer ( which by the way, belongs to my mom) went off.. forever.
oops..
looks like i have tons of explaining to do in the morning.

ma, sorry.

First Day Funks
September so far..is full of first days.
First day of school for my brother who's going to middle school as a sophomore (again..boo!) and so as my sister who is taking up her CNA (certified nursing assistant) class. As for me, I am still on house arrest but nonetheless, I feel excited for my two siblings. At least they finally figured out a way to channel their overflowing chi. I, on the other hand, would not allow any of my energy to be put to waste so i applied for a part-time job (against medical order, without my mom's consent) in a local grocery store. I had to go through all that interview process, had to dress-up and try not to look tizzy in front of the manager. The interview went well, the manager (who is a giant) was shoving his sandwich down his throat while telling me a little about the company and explaining me the job description. Before I left his office, I already have my work schedule for next week. YES! I got the job. I am employed. I am not abum.
My first day was last Monday (September 10). It was nerve-racking. I thought the job was simple, you scan your products and the cash register basically does everything for you. But noh! I realized that I had to distinguish nickels from dimes and acquaint myself with the colossal vegetables and fruits that I had never seen in my life. Shoot! I am so seeing TERMINATION flashing before my eyes. But my coworkers were all very reassuring and they were all encouraging me to be patient and just have fun. Maybe this job is not such a bad idea after all.
The Road to Disaster
September so far..is full of mishaps.
I almost got a ticket for unconsciously trying to beat a red light. Good griefs there were no cars coming in the intersection and no cops lurking in the dark. But my sister got ballistic which started to make me feel jittery and confused but we managed to go home and I felt empty.. as in starving. Another incident that got me all spooked out was last Sunday. I was driving my family to church when a big SUV appeared from nowhere like a ghost and I almost rammed our vehicle to that monster truck. I could tell my mom was disappointed but I just kept silent and it got me contemplating the whole night.
The other day. I left my wallet at ACE Hardware because it was raining so hard and i was in a hurry. When I got back the next day, the lady told me that no wallet had been turned in the night before so I was kind of disheartened about it and my cynical self thinks that people can easily take things away from you and enjoy what they worked hard for and it does not matter if you live in a civilized country.
But I was stand corrected. Today, I got a message from the hardware telling me to claim my wallet. Yeeh!
There is goodness in humanity after all. =)
